The Jettyrats were formed in 1998 when two highschool friends, Greg "Webco" Weber and Glenn "Moondog" Hamill ran across each other while on line at a local supermarket and realized that they both loved the surfing scene and its musical realm.
After a few months of jamming in Glenn's Sea Bright, New Jersey basement they decided to play out at Club Miami with a fellow Bassist,

forming a Surf - Rock threesome known as the Jettyrats.
After 10 years of jamming and a few lineup changes later, the Jettyrats can still be found rocking the New Jersey Shore on a regular basis. They are sometimes joined by Lead Guitarist, Jay Swanson who tours with the Mahoney Brothers when not with the band.
